My psychology journey started with a Bachelor of Education, where I learned quickly that I was more interested in the deeper emotional experiences of young people. In 2019, I embarked upon further study in Clinical psychology which I am still pursuing on a part-time basis.
I have worked with clients across the lifespan for over 13 years in varied roles including community, non-government, private practice, and most recently government mental health programs.
Since becoming a mum to two young children, who consider sleep to be optional, I’ve become increasingly interested in working within perinatal mental health. I understand from lived experience just how important your mental health is during the triumphs and tribulations of pregnancy, parenthood and beyond. I am here to support you on your individual journey, to travel alongside you and hold your experience in mind.
My clinical approach has evolved out of years working eclectically and systemically with young people and families.
I am passionate about creating a safe space for you to think, feel and just be, as you are on that day, so that you feel valued, seen and heard. Your experiences matter, and my role is to help organise your feelings and make sense of any symptoms, problems or challenges you face. I will collaborate with you to help you create the best path forward to pursue what matters to you most.
I take a developmental, attachment and trauma informed approach to all my clinical work. Evidence based therapies I utilise include:
